About Me

Hey there! I’m Caitlin

I received my B.S. degree in Mathematics with a Concentration in Engineering from the University of Kansas. I went on to receive my M.A. in Counseling and Guidance, specializing in Mental Health from the University of Missouri, Kansas-City in 2019. During my time in graduate school I worked in both community mental health and private practice settings where I focused on treating athletes, individuals with eating disorders, and anxiety.

Since graduation in 2019, I have worked in Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Programming for eating disorders, as well as private practice. In my private practice, I work  with young adults and adolescents who are dealing with eating disorders, life transitions, peer concerns, anxiety, and trauma. In 2020, I completed Level 1 training in Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and I am currently working my way through Level 2 certification.

Since I expect my clients to be open with me, I'll be open with you! I am a professional who is recovered from my own eating disorder history- this means that I have been in your seat, and I try to keep in mind what it's like consistently. I was born and raised in the Kansas City area. My favorite colors are neon pink and glitter (YES glitter is a color), and on an off day I like to chill out by watching an old Disney movie or Harry Potter. I also have been involved in Irish dance in some manner or another for about 24 years. Chances are, you can probably see almost all of this reflected in my office space.
